This year we are offering weekend riding/camping trips.
We will camp at the heart of O'Bannon Woods State Park. O’Bannon Woods State Park is a new 2,000-acre state park in Harrison County created out of the former Wyandotte Woods State Recreation Area. The park contains more than 100 miles of recreational trails and is surrounded by the 24,000-acre Harrison-Crawford State Forest. The Blue River, a favorite among canoeists and anglers, offers additional activities and flows through the new state park.
This is a different part of the park then we do our hourly rides on. If you've joined us before you still have miles and miles of state forest to explore.
We will meet you at the camp site on Friday evening. We'll ride for a short time Friday evening if we have time before dark. We'll ride twice on Saturday, once in the morning and once in the afternoon or evening depending on the weather. We'll ride again Sunday morning before you have to leave to head back home. The rides will probably be about 2 hours in duration, depending on the heat and how much fun we're having. We'll supply your horse and tack, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and the meat for supper on Saturday, the campsite and a grill. You'll supply your tent, remaining meals and camping supplies. Bring your guitars! You'll have the same horse all weekend. It's a perfect opportunity to do some bonding with a great horse and make some great friends.
The price for the weekend per person is $250.00
